To me, the word rasa comes as a feeling of deep emotional connection or rather a feeling of the true essence in a work of art, and in this realm, art is capable of tying people to the works they represent through these rasas. Worship in any religion is about devotion and having faith from the heart, and this requires the connection with the divine in the purest of forms. Rasas can be the guiding path that connects the soul with the divine and the rasa found in the art acts as the catalyst that helps create this unity.
